The
expected battle between last year’s silver medallist
Nafalya Francis (Warwickshire) and Helen Asher was
no contest as the Merseyside athlete was a comfortable
winner clocking 11.05 to go sixth on the UK all-time
list. Stephanie Brennan improved to 11.37 for the
bronze.

Inter Girls 80 metres Hurdles
Favourite
Kylie Robilliard did not disappoint to win in 11.22
secs but behind her there was a massive breakthrough
for Chloe Van Wulven (Essex) who improved her best
from 11.7 to 11.36 in winning her heat to go 26th
equal on the all-time lists. She was one-hundredth
slower in the final, as her lunge for the line pipped
Harriet Robinson.

Inter Boys 100 metres Hurdles
Craig France cruised to victory as fancied Ricky Alexis-Smith
came unstuck. Daniel Davis, u15 winner last year,
won silver with Joe Tenny third, as back to form defending
champion Tom Stimson crashed out at the last hurdle.

Senior Boys 110 metres Hurdles
Robert Henry and William Sharman had a great tussle
which as they went sixth and seventh on the all-time
lists, with Ed Dunford – last year's champion
- back in third. For Sharman it was the second national
title he had narrowly missed out on, having lost by
an identical margin at the U20 AAA’s to David
Hughes

Inter Girls 300 metres Hurdles
Hot favourite Ellen Howarth-Brown won it from the
front to go 13th on the all time u17 list and behind
her team mate Cara Pain and Naomi Hutchings made spectacular
improvements to break 44 seconds to go 23rd and 26th
all time. Sarah Adams became one of the latest athletes
to incur the judges displeasure, being disqualified
in the heats having stopped the clock at 43.66

Senior Boys 400 metres Hurdles
Richard Davenport gave a display of raw talent as
he powered to a two second win, in a race that otherwise
failed to inspire, although Darren Lewis’s silver
medal winning time was a good pb. Davenports time
gave him the A standard for the European Junior Championship,
though he also has this standard for the 400m flat.
