Ed Moses to Return to 400m Hurdling

Former world record holder Edwin Moses widely acknowledged as the best 400m hurder ever, is to make a return to the event aged 48, some 15 years after he retired having surrendered his Olympic title to fellow american Andre Phillips at the Seoul Olympics.

Speaking at a news conference, Moses stressed the limited nature of his comeback ambitions - to make the US Olympic trials meeting, for which he would require an entry standard of 50.50, rather than to seriously threaten the upper echelons of the current event.

Having famously gone 122 races unbeaten the double Olympic and World Champion, will at the vary least bring increased profile to the event currently dominated by Dominican Felix Sanchez, and belives that his excellent physical condition and hurdling technique will allow him to meaningfully pursue this new aim.
